Swinging the Night Away

Currently, the Carnation Plaza Gardens is undergoing a transformation that will turn it into a richly themed princess meet-and-greet area to be called Princess Fantasy Faire, but up until a few months ago, it was home to Saturday night swing dancing for a wide variety of dancers of all ages and experience.  Each and every Saturday night, guests would gather--some dressed in their Saturday evening finest, others more casually garbed--and dance the night away to the sounds of swing and jazz.

Dancing at Disneyland dates back to 1956, and even Walt Disney enjoyed the toe tapping pleasures when he was at the park.  And though swing dancing in this location is currently on hiatus (it continues on at Downtown Disney), it will return when the area refurbishment is completed towards the end of this year.  Fear not, my friends, swing will continue to be in!
